We did it! We crossed Biscaya! One of the most dangerous crossings out there. Though, it wasn't so much exciting as ...dizzying. The boat rolled and rolled and rolled. The waves came from the exact right angle to make the boat roll the most, and as hardly a waft of breeze carried across the ocean, we couldn't have the sail up to stop the rolling.
We did however turn off the engine smack bang in the middle and ate a delicious ¨Alfred-cooked¨ dinner with no engine noise and a beautiful sunset to keep us company. We even took the time to throw a message-in-a-bottle overboard that Tim had written before he left.
When selecting places from the map to drop anchor, you never really know what the surrounding country is going to look like. Even if there's a town or a city, mountains or flatlands. We had a bit of luck when we picked this place. Beautiful little town which depicted to us exactly what France was (or as we had imagined it).
